Managed workspace specialist Knowlemore has strengthened its leadership team by appointing Steven Mew as director and Beth Hampson as chief commercial officer.
Mew has more than 35 years of experience in the London office market, including senior roles at Great Portland Estates (GPE) and Runway East. At Knowlemore, his focus will be on growing the company’s London portfolio.
Hampson (pictured) was formerly commercial director at Argyll and has extensive experience leading high-performing commercial teams across London’s premium flexible workspace market.
Mew said: “I hadn’t planned to re-enter the market, but I was increasingly being approached by agents and landlords looking for guidance on fully managed workspace, particularly following the success of GPE’s model. It was clear landlords were facing strong customer demand in the sub-5,000 sq ft market, but lacked a trusted partner to deliver it.
“That gap was the opportunity. Knowlemore already has the platform, operational expertise and reputation to do just that. John and I have known each other a long time and with an aligned vision and appetite to grow, this felt like the natural next step. The opportunity to shape the next generation of landlord-led managed workspace is hugely exciting.”
Hampson added: “Coming back from maternity leave, I wanted a new challenge, one that would let me grow alongside a business that’s scaling fast. Working with John and Steven, who have both pioneered new growth areas in the sector, was a rare opportunity. Knowlemore has the quality, the people and the ambition to become one of the leaders in managed workspace.”
John Vaughan, founder and CEO of Knowlemore, said: “The managed workspace sector is maturing fast, with increasing competition landlords need an experienced operating partner to deliver quality and consistency aligned to their property interests. Steven and Beth are both hugely respected in the market, their contacts, energy and experience add significantly to the business, I am excited to be working with them as we enter our next phase of growth.”
