An unnamed British multinational investor has acquired a freehold property on Clapham High Street for a sum in excess of the £6m guide price from the fixed charge receivers.
The property at 168 and 180 Clapham High Street, which provides 12,328 sq ft across ground, basement and upper floors, comprises two retail units let to Boots and Tapi Carpets & Floors until 2030. There are also self-contained residential apartments situated above the retail space.
Lizzie Warwick-Smith, from the retail capital markets team at Colliers, which represented the fixed charge receivers on the sale, said: “Clapham High Street offers exceptional connectivity and a vibrant catchment, making it a magnet for both retailers and shoppers. We are pleased to have advised our client on the sale of the property, marking the next chapter for this prominent asset.”
Nick Hammond, head of advisory and restructuring at Colliers, added: “Following the execution of our asset management strategy, this successful sale is testament to our collaboration and commitment to deliver compelling results for our clients in complex situations.”
