Frasers Group has acquired the 250,000 sq ft Swindon Designer Outlet from LaSalle IM for an undisclosed price.

The outlet centre opened in 1997 and attracts more than three million visitors annually.

Last month, Frasers Group added the 1.1m sq ft Braehead Shopping Centre near Glasgow to the company’s rapidly growing portfolio of UK retail parks and shopping centres.

In the past few years, the company has acquired Frenchgate Shopping Centre in Doncaster, Junction 32 Shopping Outlet in Castleford, The Mall in Luton, Princesshay Shopping Centre in Exeter, Fremlin Walk Shopping Centre in Maidstone, St Nicholas Arcade in Lancaster and The Olympus Centre retail park in Quedgeley.

Michael Murray, CEO of Frasers Group, said: “Physical retail is central to our Elevation Strategy and investing in Swindon – one of the UK’s top five outlets by footfall – strengthens our position as both retailer and landlord. This acquisition reinforces our property strategy and unlocks new opportunities for our brands and our partners.”

Frasers Group was advised by CBRE on the acquisition.
