Kier Property has secured full planning permission for its new Trade City development in the Sharston Industrial Area in south Manchester.
The company has already cleared 130,000 sq ft of manufacturing buildings on the four-acre site and will now commence the delivery of a multi-let trade counter and light industrial scheme offering eight Trade City units ranging from 5,391 sq ft to 11,664 sq ft and one Logistics City unit of 34,584 sq ft.
In total, the scheme will provide 98,000 sq ft of high quality, sustainable employment space and Kier is targeting BREEAM Excellent and EPC A ratings for the development.

Alex Palfreyman, director at Savills, which is joint agent on the scheme alongside JLL, added: “This is an important milestone for the project which will provide some welcome supply in a constrained logistics and trade counter market in South Manchester.”
