The City of London Corporation has appointed retail, leisure and placemaking agency P-Three to create a new leasing strategy for the iconic Leadenhall Market.

Located in the heart of the City of London, the 78,000 sq ft site comprises 41 units and is primarily occupied by retail and F&B operators.

P-Three has been appointed to curate an optimal tenant mix and build on the market’s position as a seven-day-a-week destination to drive footfall and sales.

Chris Hayward, policy chairman of the City of London, said: “Leadenhall Market is one of the City of London’s most treasured landmarks, and this next phase of its evolution marks an exciting step in realising its full potential as a vibrant seven-day-a-week destination. At the heart of the City of London, the market is uniquely placed to showcase a mix of innovative, best-in-class dining and hospitality experiences that enhance its character while meeting the evolving expectations of workers, residents and visitors.“

Thomas Rose, co-founder of P-Three, added: “This mandate is an incredible opportunity for us to play our part in transforming an iconic landmark in the heart of London into the City’s leading dining destination. Leadenhall Market already benefits from high footfall and an extraordinary global profile, which will make it a highly sought after location for the world’s most exciting retail, leisure and F&B brands. We look forward to working with The City of London Corporation to curate a tenant mix that aligns with their vision for this prized asset.

“Our strategy will support City of London’s ‘Destination City’ programme, which is helping accelerate the evolution of the Square Mile into a cultural hub that matches its world class reputation as a superpower of global business. A vibrant City of London with an increasingly rich and varied offering is already attracting visitors seven days a week and unlocking its potential appeal to workers, residents and tourists alike.”
