Mount Anvil has secured planning consent for 274 new homes at Lots Road South in Chelsea.
Designed by PRP Architects, the development will feature 65 social rent extra care homes and 53 social rent general needs homes, alongside 156 private homes.
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea council intends to purchase the affordable homes, in addition to entering into long-term lease arrangements for new affordable workspace and a new community centre, which will also be delivered on the site.
Mount Anvil will be responsible for the construction, funding and sale of all homes and buildings on the brownfield regeneration site, which is owned by the local authority.
The existing outdated and underutilised commercial buildings on the site will be replaced with 2,015 sq m of flexible commercial space, including the new community centre, flexibly designed commercial units and affordable workspace.
Space has also been safeguarded on Lots Road to enable the potential return of the Auction House, which has moved off-site to enable the development to proceed.
