Cluttons has strengthened its presence in the North East by appointing Andrew Rutter as partner and head of Newcastle.

Rutter (pictured), who has more than 15 years of experience across valuation, estates management, public sector advisory and large‑scale development projects, joins Cluttons from Method Valuation UK and previously held senior roles at Capita Business Services and Durham University.

He has also served as national lead at the Defence Infrastructure Organisation within the Ministry of Defence, and at Lambert Smith Hampton, where he was a valuation director.

In his new role, Rutter will also lead the valuation service line for the Newcastle office, overseeing a growing multi‑disciplinary team.

John Gravett, CEO of Cluttons, said: “Andrew’s experience across national portfolios, complex valuation work and public sector advisory makes him a great addition to Cluttons and the right figurehead for our Newcastle office. His appointment further strengthens our regional presence and reflects our commitment to investing in top talent as we continue to grow across the UK.”

Rutter added: “I’m delighted to join Cluttons at such an exciting point in its growth. Newcastle and the wider North East have huge potential, and I look forward to leading the team, supporting our clients and contributing to the continued expansion of Cluttons’ valuation and advisory services.”
