Monument Estates has secured planning consent for the redevelopment of Faryners House at 25 Monument Street in the City of London.
Designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, the scheme will comprise 97,000 sq ft of Grade A workplace on 10 upper floors with some levels featuring external terraces offering views towards the Monument and the River Thames.
Faryners House lies on the site of the bakery in Pudding Lane where the Great Fire of London started in 1666 and is named after the owner Thomas Faryner.
The redevelopment will include a visitors centre relating to the story of the Great Fire, new public realm including a south west facing pocket square, a cycle hub and improved pedestrian routes and landscaped areas. Construction is expected to commence later this summer with completion targeted for Q1 2029.
