The Alice Roughton Foundation has put the freehold interest in Vincent House at 5 Pembridge Square in Notting Hill up for sale with a guide price of £50m+.

The 52,201 sq ft property, which comprises a substantial and architecturally striking L-shaped brick building, features distinctive Art Deco detailing and is arranged over lower ground, ground and six upper floors.

The property provides 148 en-suite bedrooms, together with a range of guest and operational amenities, including a reception room, restaurant and bar, off-street parking, staff offices and meeting facilities. In addition, there is a large landscaped private garden to the rear.

It occupies a prominent corner position on Pembridge Square and is located close to Notting Hill Gate underground station.

Rory Silkin, chair of the Alice Roughton Foundation, said: “It has been an honour to be associated with Vincent House for the past decades and we are sad to let it go. But the time has come for our beloved House to find a new future, and for the foundation to pursue our charitable objects more effectively.”

James Donger, director in Savills’ development land team, which has been appointed to market the opportunity, added: “We are privileged to be working with the Alice Roughton Foundation and assisting with the sensitive disposal of this historic building they built almost 90 years ago. Vincent House offers an exceptional opportunity to deliver a high quality, hospitality-led scheme in a location with little comparable pipeline.”

Joshua O’Rourke, director in Savills’ hotels team said: “The existing facilities support both continued operations or the potential for substantial enhancement or rebranding strategies in a sought-after London location. With limited supply we are expecting a strong response from interested parties.”
