Clear Capital has let 22,000 sq ft of workspace at the recently refurbished Novus building in Cambridge to international aerospace company AVIC Cabin Systems on a long-term lease.

Novus is located on Pembroke Avenue in the Waterbeach new town development, which will eventually provide 6,500 new homes alongside new schools, shops, restaurants and leisure amenities.

Oliver Donne, founder and CEO of Clear Capital, said: “The letting reinforces our conviction in the UK market. Despite wider market uncertainty, high quality space remains in short supply. The letting has generated significant capital appreciation, while adding a high quality, income producing asset to our portfolio and we are actively looking to acquire similar opportunities with value-add potential.”

Geroge Craig, partner at Bidwells, which alongside Cheffins advised Clear Capital on the letting, added: “We worked closely with Clear Capital from the outset, advising on the refurbishment of this is strategically located building and we are we are pleased to have secured a strong tenant for this high quality space, and to have helped deliver one of the top five largest lettings of this type in the region this year.”
