Capital&Centric has unveiled a new image of its plans for the transformation of Plymouth’s landmark Civic Centre.

The 14-storey Civic Centre will be transformed into 144 new homes for rent managed by Ollo, Capital&Centric’s build-to-rent management team, alongside a new Blue Green Skills Hub for City College Plymouth on the lower floors.

The redevelopment will retain and restore many of the Grade II listed building’s original features while creating new homes in the heart of the city.

A full planning application was submitted in March, with initial works to remove the existing cladding expected to begin this summer.

John Moffat, joint managing director at Capital&Centric, said: “The Civic Centre is one of those buildings everyone recognises, so it’s great to be able to share another glimpse of what its future could look like. This new image really helps to bring the vision to life, showing how we’ll breathe new life into an icon while creating a brilliant new place to live in the heart of Plymouth.”
