Calvert Trust Exmoor has put a former outdoor activity centre in the heart of Exmoor National Park on the market.

The freehold property, which is located at Wistlandpound near Kentisbury, approximately 10 miles from Barnstaple, extends to approximately 20.13 acres and comprises a range of accommodation, leisure and ancillary buildings.

The site includes a substantial courtyard accommodation building providing a mix of accessible en-suite bedrooms, dining and catering facilities, lounges, meeting spaces and staff accommodation. In addition, five detached lodges were developed in 2025 to provide further accessible accommodation.

The centre also includes a swimming pool and spa complex, a riding centre with indoor riding arena and 11 stables, an indoor sports hall with climbing wall, a detached discovery centre, maintenance workshop, biomass boiler house and a range of outbuildings and stores.

The property is being offered with vacant possession following the planned cessation of trading at the end of August 2026.

Chris Sweeney, director in the leisure and trading team at Savills, which has been appointed to market the opportunity, said: “Calvert Trust Exmoor presents a rare opportunity to acquire a substantial leisure and hospitality asset in one of the South West’s most attractive rural settings. The property has been extensively developed over many years and offers a diverse range of accommodation, leisure and equestrian facilities.”
