Arts Council England has put a refurbished Grade II listed former Georgian chapel in Halifax town centre up for sale.
Originally constructed in 1772, Square Chapel underwent a £6.6m renovation in 2017 to revive the building and turn it into a multi-use arts space with café and bar area.
The venue has two performance spaces and has a permitted use for performing arts, live performances, moving images, arts and ancillary purposes.
The performance spaces comprise the 220-seat The Red Brick Auditorium and The Copper Auditorium – a state-of-the-art 115-seat cinema that also doubles as studio space. Back-of-house facilities include dressing rooms, production offices and several storage spaces.
