Cameron Homes has submitted plans for 65 new homes in Wood End, Atherstone, North Warwickshire.

The nine-acre development site represents the second phase of Cameron Homes’ recently completed adjacent scheme of 26 houses at Lewis Avenue.

The Boulters Lane site will comprise a mix of one- to four-bedroom semi-detached and detached homes, with 40% of the 65 plots allocated for affordable housing. The new dwellings will be either single-storey bungalows, or two-storey houses, and will benefit from a generous off-street parking allocation.

Emily Christie, head of planning at Cameron Homes, said: “We’re excited to lodge detailed plans for a second phase of quality homes in Wood End, as there is substantial unmet demand for new homes across North Warwickshire. With our Oak View scheme completing two years ago, our brand is already well established here.

“But, with only 26 houses in that first phase, we have a growing waiting list of families who missed out. These plans for a quintessential £22m Cameron development of beautifully designed and detailed, energy efficient houses will cater for first time buyers to growing families and downsizers. We will continue to work with council officers, councillors and stakeholders as this planning application is considered.”

White Ridge Architecture designed the scheme and Evolve acted as the planning consultant.
