The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has closed its investigation into Home REIT and intends to take no further action against the company.
Earlier this year, it was announced that the FCA had commenced an investigation into the company covering the period from 22 September 2020 to 3 January 2023.
Last month, Home REIT completed the sale of the final four properties in its portfolio and commenced the process of liquidating subsidiary businesses.
Home REIT’s board announced plans to implement a managed wind-down of the business in 2024 and earlier this year the REIT agreed a deal to sell 706 properties to Patron Capital for £123m before exiting the UK REIT regime.
Michael O’Donnell, chair of Home REIT, said: “Following our extensive cooperation with the FCA’s investigation, we are pleased to announce that it has closed its investigation and intends to take no further action against the company.”
