EssilorLuxottica has taken 22,931 sq ft at AshbyCapital’s The Kensington Building. The company, which designs, manufactures and distributes ophthalmic lenses, frames and sunglasses, has taken the second floor of the Pilbrow & Partners designed building.
The 94,734 sq ft BREEAM Excellent rated building, which was created in partnership with Janson Urban, was completed last year and offers 12,329 sq ft of landscaped terraces designed by Gillespies Landscape Architects.
Peter Ferrari, chief executive of AshbyCapital, said: “We’re delighted to welcome EssilorLuxottica to their new home at The Kensington Building. This is a major vote of confidence in the next-generation, sustainable workplace that we have created with Janson Urban and Pilbrow & Partners, and we are confident they will enjoy the grand proportions of the workspace and best-in-class amenities.
“With strong interest in the remaining floors of the building, we expect further forward-thinking occupiers to join them soon, taking advantage of the exceptional working lifestyle that Kensington has to offer.”
Cushman & Wakefield represented EssilorLuxottica on the letting and there is now 71,803 sq ft of office space available over five floors at the building. Agents for The Kensington Building are Cushman & Wakefield and EiA Real Estate.
