Landsec has commenced the refurbishment of the landmark 300,000 sq ft Portland House tower in Victoria.
The company received planning permission earlier this month for the Buckley Gray Yeoman designed scheme which includes a new double height reception, a refurbished facade and a Level 30 rooftop extension.
Portland House has been designed to be net zero in construction and operation and will target WELL Core Gold, BREEAM Outstanding and a NABERS UK 5* rating. Landsec said by retaining the entirety of the existing building structure it will achieve a circa 60% reduction in embodied carbon compared with the current GLA benchmark.

Knight Frank and RX London are joint leasing agents on the building, the refurbishment of which could complete as early as summer 2025.
