The 56,000 sq ft RAC House in Streford, Manchester, is being marketed for sale following the recent announcement the breakdown assistance company was relocating its call centre operations.
The building, which sits on a 4.5-acre site, has a 200m frontage overlooking Bridgewater Canal and is located within walking distance of Stretford Metrolink and Stretford Mall. CBRE’s development and residential team in Manchester has been appointed to bring the RAC site to market.
An adjacent site, which comprises decommissioned gas holders, is also being marketed for sale by National Grid providing the potential for a wider regeneration of the area.
Kieran McLaughlin, senior director at CBRE, said: “It is rare that a development opportunity of this scale with canal frontage becomes available in this area and could suit a wide range of potential uses in a rapidly improving market.”
