The administrators have appointed Watling Real Estate to sell properties owned by national groundworks and civil engineering firm Caldwell Construction.

The properties include the 6,000 sq ft Caldwell house – the company’s former office HQ at Centre Park, Warrington – and its former operation base at Brick Kiln Lane, Stoke-on-Trent, which comprises a contractor’s yard, offices, workshops and a warehouse. There are additional freehold commercial premises on Leonard Street, Stoke-on-Trent, which are currently fully let.

Oliver Collinge and James Sleight of PKF Littlejohn Advisory were appointed joint administrators over the construction business, which employed more than 400 people and had a turnover of circa £58m, on 15 January 2026.

Watling Real Estate is currently assessing the properties with a view to bringing them to the market in the coming days.
