Avant Homes has submitted a planning application to deliver a £20m multi-tenure development comprising 82 new homes in the village of Burbage, near Hinckley.

The Chestnut Acres development, which will be built on a 4.86-acre site off Lychgate Lane, will comprise two-, three- and four-bedroom homes and will feature 11 of Avant Homes’ practically designed, energy efficient house types and 17 affordable homes.

If Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council sign off on the plans, Avant intends to make a start on site in early 2025, with the first residents anticipated to move into their new homes in autumn 2025.

Ben Felton, managing director of Avant Homes East Midlands, said: “With easy access to local amenities, Leicester and the wider East Midlands region, we think Burbage is an excellent place for us to build. We know there is a high demand for the type of practically designed, energy efficient new homes that we build from people living locally or thinking of moving to the area.

“Our development will feature a mix of practically designed, energy efficient new homes at a range of price points that will enable more people to make their next home owning step a reality. We now look forward to Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council’s considering our plans.”
