The BE News GIA Property Cup monthly update – Oct 26

It feels like a long time since a ball has been kicked in anger in the Premier League. During the nearly three-week hiatus since gameweek five completed, Lionel Messi has voluntarily retired from international football, Cristiano Ronaldo has been forcibly retired from international football, Manchester City have been found guilty of lots of naughty things and England have actually been quite exciting to watch for a change.

However, we’re back to the nitty gritty of domestic football this week (at least until the next international window in November!) and the top of the table of The BE News GIA Property Cup is shaping up quite nicely.

Leading the charge is Eric Woollard and his ‘Six Heaven’ team, which has racked up 381 points so far. Eric is clearly a bit of a dab hand at fantasy football as he currently sits in 72,506th place in the official Fantasy Premier League, which has more than 11 million players.

Sebastian Sim Mich’s ‘COYG FA’ team leapt into second place after securing 61 points in the final game week before the international break and sits just five points off the top spot. ‘Hall of Fame’, managed by Ed Davidson, sits a few points further back and then there is a bit of a gap growing to the other leading contenders, which is led by Ben Lowndes ‘Ben’s on toast’.

At the moment Stephen Friel’s ‘Ings-junction Risk’ and Lucas Ball’s originally titled ‘Change Name’ are rooted to the bottom of the table on 264 points, but there is plenty of time for them to claw themselves to safety.

There is still time to sign up for the The BE News GIA Property Cup. You can register at the official Fantasy Premier League website using the following code – wlxp5e.
