AXA IM Alts has appointed Multiplex to commence construction of the 650,000 sq ft 50 Fenchurch Street office scheme in the City of London.
Construction of the biodiverse 36-storey tower, which will feature landscaped gardens on the ground floor and at level 10 in addition to more than 40 occupier terraces housing more than 70 different species of plants, is expected to complete in 2028.
The development includes the retention of the Medieval Tower of All Hallows Staining and Lambe’s Chapel Crypt, which will form part of the extensive public realm being built alongside a new subterranean Livery Hall for The Clothworkers’ Company.

In addition to helping satisfy the significant demand for the first class and sustainable office accommodation that is a must have for occupiers, 50 Fenchurch will bring extensive urban greening and landscaped gardens to the Square Mile.”
Keltbray completed the enabling works in May and will also carry out piling and excavation. The project team also includes development delivery partner YardNine, Eric Parry Architects, Adamson Associates and Arup.
