Bargate Homes has received planning approval for the delivery of 49 new homes on 4.2-hectare site in the village of Allbrook, near Eastleigh.
The mix of two-storey houses will comprise detached, semi-detached and terraced designs, as well as a selection of single-storey bungalows.
The energy-efficient homes will range from one- to four-bedrooms, with 32 of the homes sold on the open market, 11 available through affordable rent and six for shared ownership. All homes allocated through affordable housing will be transferred to Bargate Homes’ parent company VIVID.
Mark White, managing director of Bargate Homes, said: “We are thrilled to receive this delegated planning decision from Eastleigh Borough Council, which reflects the need and desire to see new energy-efficient homes delivered in Allbrook, on the northern fringe of Eastleigh. Our scheme has received local support throughout the planning process and will positively contribute to the vibrancy of this small traditional village location, which offers local amenities and public transport connections.
