UK charity Mencap has sold the freehold of its headquarters at 123 Golden Lane in London to a unnamed property company for a sale price believed to be in the region of £8.5m.
The 18,600 sq ft building has been the charity’s headquarters since the 1970s. The deal included a delayed completion, which allowed Mencap the time required to vacate the premises and move to a new office at 20-22 Commercial Street in London.
