Multi-charity shop Charity Super.Mkt has signed for a 4,000 sq ft pop-up store at Peel L&P’s Gloucester Quays outlet.
The ‘second-hand department store’ concept, which is due to open this month, will bring together a curated collection of pre-loved fashion and accessories, including vintage denim, sports and streetwear.
Charity Super.Mkt will introduce a rolling rotation of organisations throughout the duration of the pop-up, with charities such as Havens Hospices, Longfield Hospice, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, National Star, Traid and Acorn taking space in the store.
Maria Chenoweth and Wayne Hemingway, co-founders of Charity Super.Mkt, said: “Charity Super.Mkt has proved in its first year that second-hand charity fashion can sit comfortably with high street and designer brands. From some of the UK’s busiest shopping centres shopping centres to world-renowned streets such as London’s Bond Street, Charity Super.Mkt has matched the turnover, brought in new customers and increased footfall. Now we move onto Gloucester Quays and are looking forward to working in a new city and welcoming its residents to experience charity retail in a way they have never seen it before.”
Paul Carter, asset director at Peel L&P, added: “Charity Super.Mkt will be a fantastic addition to Gloucester Quays. Their huge success and growth in the past year or so mirrors our own, both down to a real understanding of consumer shopping motivations. Pre-loved fashion is a sector that is expanding quickly, and it sits naturally within an outlet environment, which is why we were so keen to introduce Charity Super.Mkt into our tenant mix. They’ll slot right in and will absolutely appeal to our dedicated customer base.”
