Housebuilder Charles Church has acquired 46 acres of land at Oadby Grange near Leicester for an undisclosed price.
The land sale, which was promoted by Mulberry Land, provides the platform for Charles Church to bring forward emerging proposals for up to 147 new homes, with 30% expected to be affordable housing.
The sale marks Mulberry Land’s first strategic land disposal in the region and forms part of a wider programme of land transactions led by Newton LDP, supporting housing delivery and placemaking across Leicestershire.
Rob Blaney, land director at Charles Church, said: “Securing this site is an important step and reflects our focus on investing in sustainable, well-connected locations. The land purchase gives us the opportunity to provide a high quality mix of new homes, including affordable housing, alongside meaningful improvements to green space, biodiversity and local infrastructure for Oadby.”
