The Church Commissioners for England has submitted an outline planning application for the delivery of up to 60 homes in Westbury-sub-Mendip. Somerset.
Located on the Church Commissioners’ land south of Roughmoor Lane, the plans align with Somerset Council’s vision for the future of the Mendip area and the application follows extensive community engagement with the parish council, village residents, the neighbourhood plan working group and the local authority.
The project will deliver a mix of housing types and tenures, including a targeted 30 affordable housing provision. A portion of the 2.79-hectare site is earmarked for a brand new community facility for new and existing residents alike, in line with the policy allocation.
