CITIC CLSA has signed a 15-year lease on circa 16,000 sq ft at Mitsubishi Estate London and Stanhope’s 8 Bishopsgate office scheme in the City of London.
The institutional brokerage and investment firm has taken two floors at the building, which is now 85% let.
Shinichi Kagitomi, managing director of Mitsubishi Estate London, said: “As we witness the continual growth and diversity of our occupier base, we are confident that 8 Bishopsgate will serve as a premier hub for innovation and collaboration in the heart of London. The decision by CITIC CLSA to choose our development as its new home is a continued endorsement of the building.”
David Camp, chief executive of Stanhope, added: “The addition of CITIC CLSA to the roster of esteemed tenants at 8 Bishopsgate is a significant milestone for our development. It reinforces the reputation of 8 Bishopsgate as the preferred address for global financial institutions seeking a contemporary and forward-thinking workspace.”
Richard Ziegler, chief executive officer of CITIC CLSA’s European business, said: “We spent some time evaluating premises within the City and found 8 Bishopsgate to be by far the best building for CITIC CLSA. This striking building has a high profile, great amenities, and an unbeatable outlook. I have no doubt 8 Bishopsgate will be an exciting new home for our London operations.”
