City & Country’s plans for two residential schemes in Essex have been recommended for approval.
At a site on the edge of Stansted (pictured), the developer intends to deliver up to 300 homes in addition to a shop, café, nursery, care home and a village hall, and at Birchanger, City & Country intends to deliver up to 180 new homes in addition to extensive new cycle and pedestrian links.
The company hopes to build a collection of one- to six-bedroom homes across the two sites, 50% of which will be deemed affordable through rent and affordable home ownership.

The schemes have been designed to address local housing needs while delivering significant community and environmental benefits.”
