Cummins has taken a circa 60,000 sq ft unit at Greenlight Milton Keynes for its clean energy technology brand Accelera.

The Greenlight joint venture between Delancey Real Estate and Coltham was established to develop and reposition best-in-class urban logistics assets in strategically important locations across the UK.

The platform is building a portfolio of industrial and logistics assets across Milton Keynes, Heathrow, Reading, Redditch and Birmingham.

David Owens, asset management director at Delancey, said: “We’re delighted to see Accelera by Cummins open for business at Greenlight Milton Keynes. Securing a business of Cummins’ calibre is a strong endorsement of the quality of the development and reflects the growing demand for highly sustainable, best-in-class industrial space. Greenlight was created to deliver premium industrial buildings that help occupiers achieve their operational and sustainability ambitions, and we’re pleased to see a leading green-tech manufacturer like Cummins choosing to be part of that vision.”

Mark Fox, financial controller at Accelera, added: “The relationship with Greenlight has been extremely positive from the outset. They worked closely with us to agree the pre-let and then continued to support us proactively through the fit-out stage, helping us create a facility that works for our business.”
