Colliers has strengthened its portfolio valuations team with the appointment of Alex Ayres as director.

Ayres, who has more than 25 years of UK valuation experience, joins the business from Avison Young, where he was most recently on a 12-month secondment with Aareal Bank.

Based in Colliers’ London headquarters, Ayres will focus on national portfolio clients and will play a key role in expanding the firm’s valuation capabilities, particularly within the rapidly growing data centre market.

Mark White, head of portfolio valuations at Colliers, said: “Alex is a highly respected valuation professional whose experience, client relationships and technical expertise will be invaluable to our team and clients. We are continuing to see strong levels of activity as the market adapts to the RICS rotation requirements, creating opportunities to welcome new clients while maintaining the exceptional service our existing clients expect from us.”

Ayres added: “I’m excited to be joining Colliers at a particularly dynamic time for the valuations market. The business has an outstanding reputation and a strong team, and I was attracted by the opportunity to help support its continued growth. The sector is evolving rapidly and the current market environment presents a fresh challenge, with the chance to work with a wide range of new clients and build on relationships developed throughout my career.”
