Colliers has recruited Lewis Corby from CBRE to lead the UK business’ hotel capital markets division.

Corby, who spent 17 years at CBRE where he established a reputation as a senior adviser on the disposal and acquisition of hospitality assets across the UK and Europe, will also play a significant role as a leader in the firm’s EMEA hospitality practice group.

John Munday, CEO of Colliers UK, said: “We believe that the hospitality market is one of the opportunity areas within commercial real estate, and we have been investing in our bench-strength across our agency and consultancy services. We already have a strong record in working with established and emerging brands whether we are delivering and launching their projects to market or supporting asset investment and disposal decisions.

“By welcoming Lewis to the team, we are recognising that there’s lots of opportunities still to be unlocked as the hospitality sector continues to evolve and pivot to meet the emerging demands of their customers. He will play a significant role in the continued growth of our UK team and the impact that we have in the EMEA region.”

Corby added: “I’m really pleased to be joining a firm which really recognises the strength of opportunities in this sector and has the platform to shape the investment and development market across the UK and Europe. I’m looking forward to getting to know all the Colliers teams and find out about the projects that we already have with our clients and creating new business opportunities for the firm.”
