Cushman & Wakefield has appointed student accommodation specialist Christian Davis as a partner in its UK living team.
Davis, who has two decades of commercial property experience, worked for DTZ at the start of his career prior to its merger with Cushman & Wakefield.
He more recently served as head of UK investment at The Student Housing Company, investment director at Watkin Jones Group and executive vice president, living, at CA Ventures.
In his new role, he will be based in London and will provide capital markets advice and execution to student accommodation developer and operator clients across the UK.
James Dunne, head of UK living at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Christian is a highly respected and accomplished residential investment specialist. His experience in the student accommodation space is exceptional, and our clients will benefit greatly from his deep experience and knowledge. Christian’s appointment will widen and deepen our skillset to ensure the continued delivery of industry-leading advice for clients, playing a key role in our evolving and growing team.”
Davis added: “I’m incredibly excited to start working closely with our public sector advisory team as we look to accelerate activity across the university-linked PBSA sector. Drawing on my experience in PBSA transactions and the capital markets space, a key focus will be to identify and unlock opportunities that align the needs of universities with the strategies of institutional investors.”
