Canary Wharf Group (CWG) has secured planning consent for the refurbishment of the 545,000 sq ft 33 Canada Square.
The refurbishment of the landmark office building, which has been renamed One Eden, will be delivered on a pre-let basis.
One Eden will feature retail space, an optional rooftop restaurant and a striking new internal atrium flooding the building with natural light.
Originally designed by Foster+Partners, the building is being reimagined by tp Bennett and the retrofit project will see 97% of the existing sub and super structure retained, preserving more than 62,000 tonnes of concrete.
CWG is targeting BREEAM Excellent, NABERS 4.5*. WELL Platinum, EPC A and WiredScore Platinum ratings for the building.
