Endurance Land has appointed Multiplex as main contractor for its 99 City Road office development in London.
Located at the intersection of Old Street and the City, the 36-storey tower will feature 475,000 sq ft of commercial space and offer uninterrupted, 360-degree views across London.
The on-site amenity provision will include a triple-height event space, wellness suite, dining and café facilities, conference lounges, private terraces, end-of-trip provisions and a makerspace.
Endurance Land is targeting BREEAM Outstanding, NABERS 5*, SmartScore and WiredScore Platinum certifications for the development.
The build contract follows Multiplex’s earlier involvement as construction partner under a pre-construction services agreement. Construction works will commence in Q3 2026, with practical completion targeted for 2030.
Richard Rixson, director at Endurance Land, said: “The scheme is designed around an idea: a workplace that drives innovation, giving tenants the environment they need to pursue their vision. Appointing Multiplex as main contractor is about more than bringing on a tier-one builder; it is about partnering with a team that truly understands who we are, shares our bold ambition for 99 City Road and consistently executes to the highest standard.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Multiplex again – a partnership building on the trust and momentum established at Regent Quarter and a deep understanding of our culture, standards and long-term focus on quality. That complete alignment gives us, and our future occupiers, total confidence as we transition into active construction on a flagship project that will define London for decades to come.”
Callum Tuckett, managing director of Multiplex, added: “We’re delighted to be working with Endurance Land once again on the delivery of 99 City Road. This appointment represents an important step forward for a development that will set a new standard for high quality workspace in one of London’s most dynamic locations.
“Designed for the needs of technology and innovation-led occupiers, the scheme combines flexible, high-performance office space with the infrastructure and amenities needed to support future growth. We look forward to bringing our experience and expertise to the project and working alongside Endurance Land and the wider team to deliver an exceptional outcome.”
The project team also includes Knight Frank, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), AKT II, Arup, Arcadis and FMDC.
