UK flooring distributor Likewise Group has acquired a second distribution centre in Morley, West Yorkshire, for £3m.
The 21,000 sq ft unit, which comprises warehousing and office space, is located at Howley Park Industrial Estate, just a mile from the M62.
Tony Brewer, chief executive of Likewise Group, said: “The acquisition of the freehold of a second distribution hub in Leeds allows for the planning and streamlining of incoming containers to be handled more efficiently and will also release capacity at our other centres across the UK. This new investment in Leeds, and the additional storage and cutting capacity at Newport, will help us drive our growing sales revenue towards £250m.”
