Greencore Homes has secured planning consent from Cherwell District Council for the development of 65 homes in Launton, Oxfordshire.

Designed by A’Bear & Ball Architects and Edge Urban Design, the approved plans comprise 42 homes for open market sale, six first homes and 17 tenure-blind affordable homes.

The M&G-backed housebuilder acquired the 14-acre site from Richborough Estates in 2023 and it is anticipated Greencore will make a start on site in spring 2025.

Jon Di-Stefano, CEO of Greencore Homes, said: “We are excited to get the go-ahead to develop another 65 of our better than net zero homes. This will be a flagship scheme for Greencore, delivered in a time where urgent action and innovative solutions are needed to meet the UK’s housing and climate targets. Following our recent planning success at Milton Heights and our acquisition in Haddenham, this is yet another milestone on Greencore’s mission to deliver 10,000 better than net zero homes by 2035.”
