Kennedy Wilson and APG have selected Greystar to provide residential property management services across more than 1,100 homes at Cherrywood in South Dublin.
The appointment follows the formation earlier this year of Kennedy Wilson and APG’s €2bn Irish residential partnership, through which Kennedy Wilson acquired a minority interest in APG’s existing Cherrywood portfolio.
The mandate represents a significant milestone in the growth of Greystar’s third-party property management business in Ireland following its acquisition of MD Property & Living earlier this year. Greystar has more than 5,000 homes under management for third-party clients in Ireland.
Mark Dunleavy, managing director – third-party, Ireland, at Greystar, said: “Ireland’s residential investment market is evolving quickly. We are seeing larger portfolios, increasingly sophisticated capital and much greater focus from owners on what happens after an investment is made. The quality of operations – from resident experience and leasing through to governance, reporting and cost management – has a direct bearing on long-term performance.
“Cherrywood is a good example of that evolution. At this scale, property management is not simply about running individual buildings; it is about understanding how a community operates as a whole and using that insight to deliver better outcomes for residents and owners over the long term. That is where we believe experienced operators can make a real difference.”
Jason Byers, head of residential Ireland, at Kennedy Wilson, added: “We’re delighted to have Mark and the Greystar team work with us on this new venture. Given its size and unique location, Cherrywood requires an experienced property management team with local knowledge. Greystar’s scale, local expertise and track record in managing institutional-quality rental housing make them a strong partner for the next phase of Cherrywood’s development. We look forward to working with Greystar as we continue to invest in the community and support the delivery of high quality rental communities in Dublin.”
