Hillwood has completed the acquisition of a 350,000 sq ft multi-unit industrial estate in Luton for an undisclosed price.
The 16-acre site, which is located close to the M1, will be fully redeveloped to provide new industrial and logistics space.
Demolition of the estate has already commenced and construction of the new scheme is expected to start by the end of the year.
The transaction is the first Hillwood has completed since it integrated long-term development partner Trebor Developments into the business in October 2024.
Greg Dalton, vice president of Hillwood, said: “We’re delighted to have secured another major acquisition, especially so soon after integrating the Trebor business last year. This latest prime site will provide more Grade A industrial and logistics accommodation for our expanding development pipeline and we’re excited to announce our plans in due course.”
CBRE acted for the vendor and DTRE advised Hillwood on the acquisition. CBRE and DTRE have been retained as leasing agents.
