Japanese pharmaceutical company Shionogi has taken 13,628 sq ft at Invesco Real Estate and YardNine’s Fifty Paddington office scheme in Paddington
The company is due to take occupancy of the third floor of the building, which is located less than 100 yards from the entrance to the Elizabeth Line at Paddington Station, in Q2 this year.
Following completion of the deal, there is now only 25,000 sq ft of space available at the 85,000 sq ft Grade A office and retail development.
Mark Younger, director at YardNine, said: “Ranging from pharmaceutical and healthcare companies to software, football and wealth management, Fifty Paddington is now home to a genuinely diverse and exciting mix of tenants. This leasing success reflects the development’s high quality office space and the strong appeal of the area and its amenities, underpinned by excellent transport links and a vibrant mix of retailers, hotels and restaurants.”
Ciaran Butler, director of investments – UK at Invesco Real Estate, added: “We are thrilled to welcome another international business to the diverse tenant mix at Fifty. This addition underscores the wide-ranging appeal and robust fundamentals of our property, representing multiple sub-sectors of the economy. As the building approaches stabilisation, we are now delivering on our investment objectives for our underlying investor. Looking ahead, we are excited by the asset management possibilities that the future holds.”
YardNine was advised by Colliers, CBRE and Ashurst.
