Lendlease has secured planning consent for 600 new homes at its Silvertown regeneration project in the heart of the Royal Docks.
The new homes at Plot 78, which will be delivered in collaboration with The Guinness Partnership, will include affordable housing and will form Silvertown’s new Silo D Quarter. Plans for the neighbourhood include the restoration of the Grade II listed former grain silo Silo D as well as the creation of a central public park.
Designed by Haworth Tompkins, the buildings will feature commercial space on the ground floor, supported by a retail provision along North Woolwich Road.
When fully built out, the regeneration project will deliver around 6,500 new homes on a 60-acre docklands site that has been largely vacant for more than 40 years.
