Lovell Partnerships has purchased a brownfield site in Bromborough on which it intends to deliver 115 new homes.
The 8.65-acre former Land and Marine depot, which is located off Dock Road North, currently houses 30,400 sq ft of derelict and vacant industrial buildings.
The site has planning permission for 115 homes, including 42 affordable homes, and will comprise a mix of terraced, semi-detached and detached properties ranging from two- to four-bedrooms.
David Newman, partner at Fisher German, which acted for the private landowner on the sale of the site, said: “We’re extremely pleased to complete the sale of this former specialist engineering site to Lovell Partnerships. We acted on behalf of our long-standing landowner client, who we have worked with both when the site was in operation and following its closure and is very satisfied with the conclusion of the sale.
“The site is well-suited for residential use, and being brownfield means it aligns with Wirral Council’s objective to avoid development on greenbelt land. The site will now provide much needed new homes in Bromborough, including 42 which will be affordable, and it is fantastic to see that ground works have already begun.”
