Magna Housing has been confirmed as a strategic partner in Homes England’s new Social and Affordable Homes Programme (SAHP), securing £250m to support the delivery of 1,500 affordable homes.

The funding will support Magna’s plans to maximise its delivery of affordable housing across Dorset and Somerset, including in rural communities.

Prior to this announcement, Magna had already secured a £150m investment to deliver 1,500 new homes over the next five years.

Selina White, chief executive of Magna Housing, said: “This is fantastic news for Magna and for the communities we serve across Dorset and Somerset. Being chosen as a strategic partner by Homes England reflects our strong track record of delivery and our commitment to investing in communities and creating opportunities for people to thrive.

“People across our region continue to face a shortage of homes they can truly afford. This funding will help us to play an even bigger role in delivering the high quality, affordable homes local people need. We look forward to working closely with Homes England and our partners to help meet housing need across our region.”
