McLaren Property has submitted a planning application to Leeds City Council for a 332-bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in the city.
The company’s plans include the refurbishment and conversion of the Grade II listed Springfield House, which neighbours the city’s university campuses.
The scheme, which has been designed by Cartwright Pickard Architects, will offer a wide range of on-site amenities including a gym and wellness area, study spaces, games room and entertaining kitchen/dining spaces.
In addition to refurbishing the listed Springfield House, two new wings will be added to provide 138 studios and 194 cluster bedrooms. McLaren is targeting BREEAM Excellent and an EPC A rating for the development.
