Native Land has received planning approval for an 80,000 sq ft office building at its 1.4m sq ft Bankside Yards development.
The 18-storey ‘Building 1’, designed by Make Architects, sits in a prime riverside location offering uninterrupted views of St Paul’s Cathedral, the City and the Thames. The London Borough of Southwark approved Native Land’s revised plans for Building 1, which originally had a residential consent.
The developer intends to create one of the most sustainable offices in London, targeting BREEAM Outstanding and NABERS 5 Star rating. Building 1 will also feature high levels of greening on the roof terrace and Native Land says its biodiversity rating will be 50% higher than the GLA London Plan standard.
