Bruntwood and Trafford Council have submitted plans to deliver 248 new homes on the site of the old Stretford Mall in Stretford, Manchester.
The site will comprise a mix of homes ranging from one-bedroom apartments through to three-bedroom townhouses, in addition to a new public park.
The project will benefit from Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham’s £1bn Good Growth Fund. Some £26m has already been allocated to boost housebuilding in the Old Trafford area of Manchester, with the redevelopment of the old Stretford Mall into new homes set to receive a follow-up allocation of funding subject to achieving agreed milestones.

Working closely with Trafford Council and local residents throughout this process has been essential – their input has genuinely shaped these plans.

One of the council’s priorities for the borough is to facilitate good quality homes for all, and a thriving economy – and our long-term strategy for Stretford is a key part of that.”
Advisers on the scheme include Deloitte, re-form Landscape Architecture and AHR.
