Lenrose Investments has submitted a planning application on behalf of landowner-developer Thames Plaza for a new 966-home village at Fossetts in Southend.
The site previously had planning permission for a new stadium for Southend United Football Club alongside enabling residential. However, in 2024 Thames Plaza, the new owners of Southend United and the city council agreed a new development plan whereby the club would remain at its long-standing home at Roots Hall Stadium.

The scheme will include a significant amount of high quality private and affordable homes to rent, along with new homes for sale and a range of onsite amenities.
