RED Construction Group has won a trio of projects totalling £22m across London and the South East, to be delivered by its dedicated special projects team.

The team has been appointed to strip out the gym and health spa facilities and carry out structural alterations, to deliver 35 new guest rooms equipped with marble bathrooms and a members’ gym on the fifth and sixth levels at Marriott’s County Hall Hotel. It will work alongside architects Hamilton and Studio Moren, with the refurbishment due to complete in early 2024.

In Bromley, Landsec has appointed RED to carry out a refurbishment of fire damaged apartments at the St Mark’s Square residential development. It will work alongside Ryder Architecture on the project, which is set to complete in mid-2024.

The special projects team has also been appointed to deliver new facilities for the £7m phase one of LEGOLAND Windsor’s Woodland Village, due to open in spring 2024.

Nathan Farrar, construction director at RED special projects, said: “From complex refurbishment works within a live hotel, to cladding and remedial works, to an entertainment hub within the heart of LEGOLAND Windsor’s Woodland Village. These three project wins showcase the breadth of works our special projects division are well versed in delivering. This trio of appointments bolster RED Construction Group’s reputation across London and the South East, and we are proud partners of three businesses that offer so much to the built environment.”
