Regal London has been granted planning permission by the London Borough of Brent to develop a new purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Wembley called The Society.

The development, which was designed by JTP and will offer a range of new student homes for 349 residents, is targeting BREEAM Excellent in addition to WELL and WiredScore Platinum.

The Society includes a rooftop garden, gym, multi-use studio, lounge and dining space along with an array of study spaces. It is being built on the site currently occupied by Fairgate House and Pitman House on High Road, Wembley.

Regal London is aiming to complete the development in time for the academic year 2025/6 and will offer a mix of en-suite shared accommodation, studios and premium studios. Some 51% of beds will be nominated to a higher education institution, of which 35% will be affordable beds.

Steve Harrington, planning director at Regal London, said: “With over 240,000 students in London currently unable to access high quality purpose built student accommodation, we are delighted to be making our debut into this exciting sector with The Society on High Road, Wembley. Our presence in the area is growing, following our successful start on site at Fulton & Fifth, it’s great to be continuing our collaborative relationship with Brent.”
