Join BE News on 19 November as we shine the ‘Spotlight on Next Gen Lab Space’ during a free-to-attend breakfast event timed to coincide with London Life Sciences Week.

The three-hour event, which is sponsored by Maples Teesdale and Perkins&Will and hosted by Pioneer Group, will take place from 08:30 to 11:30 on Thursday 19 November in the Council Chamber at Victoria House, Bloomsbury Square, London, WC1B 4DA.

It will be attended by up to 80 of the most influential figures in the UK life sciences sector and wider built environment industry and will kick off with a keynote speech delivered by Dr Angela Kukula, who recently joined Populate as Director of Science and Innovation after three years as chief executive of MedCity, where she championed London’s life sciences sector on the global stage.

Her speech will be followed by a one-hour Question Time-style panel debate featuring speakers including: Chris Walters, portfolio director & European acquisitions lead at Pioneer Group; Chris Xitsas, partner and head of life sciences at Maples Teesdale; and Sianann Tait, associate principal at Perkins & Will.

During the highly topical debate, we will explore the design, engineering and development challenges involved in delivering next gen lab space such as dark labs and CL3/CL4 space and assess the UK’s capacity to deliver such facilities as well as the evolving biocontainment sector, the future of AI-powered dark labs, the regulatory and funding landscape and the UK’s place on the global life sciences stage.

Following the debate, attendees will have the chance to network with leading figures from across the UK life sciences sector, including occupiers, developers and investors, over a light brunch.

Spaces are strictly limited and expected to go fast, so please register your interest here as soon as possible if you would like to attend.

There is also one remaining sponsorship opportunity, which is available on a first come, first served basis. If you are interested in finding out more, please contact BE News head of commercial Nick Stroffolino at nick@benews.co.uk.
